George Miller, a Japanese-Australian musician who goes by the stage name “Joji” Was born in Osaka, Japan in the 18th of September, 1992. He started off his career as an internet sensation on a social media platform, YouTube. He started off his Youtube career on the 19th of June, 2008 as a way to promote his music at a young age.

The Start of A Legend

On that day, George Miller posted his first video on the platform, a comedy skit named “Lil’ Jon falls off a table”. For Joji, he always had a passion for music composition ever since he was younger, he started off this channel in hopes of promoting his music but he deviated from it because his skits were more popular than his music and he went with the flow to do comedy instead.

In this video, we get to see one of George’s famous characters “Frank” or “Filthy Frank”. This character would eventually show up more on his Youtube videos as his main character, a character that would attract millions of views later on…

One of his other famous character is called “Pink Guy” which is well-known from some of his videos like the Harlem shake challenge and his famous quote “Hey boss.”

Not long after, DizastaMusic would find itself in trouble. Due to the way on how his career has been going, ever since Filthy Frank and Pink Guy became far more popular and demanding, he was stuck into making comedic content rather than music. This resulted to a new channel being made for his comedy skits named “TVFilthyFrank” where he would continue his comedy career.

As of the 11th February, 2013, TVFilthyFrank became Joji’s main channel and from the first few uploads explained exactly what we would understand as unsuitable content. George explained what filthy frank is on his channel page ” Filthy Frank is the embodiment of everything a person should not be.” Eventually, this came out to be the type of content that he would produce.

The Start of A New Era

Prior to his first experiences with the music industry he released his first album “Chloe Burbank” with a few of his songs like “Thom” and “Charlie you suck” which were released under a false alias on soundcloud but was later leaked that the actual user was Joji.

At the time being, Joji created this album on his Youtube channel named “Pink season” which compared to Joji’s more nuanced, serious, and traditional style of music, Miller’s music under Pink Guy is often identical to the nature of his YouTube channel, usually being raps or hip hop songs.

Eventually, Joji has released 3 more songs into the music label 88rising Youtube channel to his EP “in tongues”

The End of An Era

Although he had a long running successful career on Youtube, it wasn’t what he wanted to do and running the show unfortunately gave him terrible side effects. He later went on with his career being a musician as he wanted to with 88rising.

Currently, Joji has been met with a lot of success lately. With his most recent album “Ballads 1” that captures the old ballads asian people used to listen to in his music and the release of “Slow dancing in the dark” reached 69 on the billboard top 100. With his fan base constantly growing, they are lucky enough to have songs written for them from such an amazing mind.
